MSF WaCA, Associated to Act!At the end of 2021, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) will be 50 years old. Over the past 5 decades, the organization's teams have provided medical care to millions of patients in all corners of the globe. While historically the organization's decision-making centers were based in Europe, an unprecedented collective decision was made in 2019: Move the center of gravity! By creating MSF WaCA (West & Central Africa), a group of physicians and other associates in the region aspire to drive a change in momentum to continue to conduct medical-humanitarian operations ever closer to patients and communities. This initiative, based in Côte d'Ivoire, reflects a deliberately inclusive identity of people who share the values of humanity and empathy for others. Associates driven by the desire to create a new paradigm that is resolutely adapted to the challenges of our time.
