Reuniting of African Descendants is a trans-led, grassroots initiative invested in equity, collective growth, and healing for LGBTQIA+/SGL people of African Descendants. ROAD work is rooted in ending genocide against Queer and Trans people of African Descendants Reuniting of African Descendants (R.O.A.D) envisions a world shaped to foster the growth and fulfillment of all its members. R.O.A.D seeks to provide programs that develop strengths, skills, and self - sufficiency in LGB/SGL/Queer and Trans people of African Descendants. In addition, each year R.O.A.D seeks to mobilize individuals to work collaboratively to transform queer and trans communities in Africa through cultural exchange and leadership development.R.O.A.D approaches this cultural exchange and community building work by cultivating a cross-continental and inter-generational travel experience that focuses on healing, apothecary teaching, and entrepreneurship opportunities. Through this work, the R.O.A.D experience supports imagination and the even exchange of ideas and practices, generating safety and sustainable economic abundance for queer and trans communities within and beyond the African diaspora.
