Admin. Assistant, Development Department at John McGivney Children's Centre - Windsor, ON, CA
The John McGivney Children's Centre (JMCC) is one of 21 children's treatment centres in the province of Ontario funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. The Centre is tasked with providing rehabilitation and support services to children and youth from birth to 21 years living in Windsor and Essex County. As the only publicly funded source of specialized paediatric rehabilitation expertise in the region, the Centre supports over 3,000 children/youth annually with physical, neurological and developmental needs. In addition to providing the core rehabilitation services of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech/language therapy, the Centre supports children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, in partnership with the Thames Valley Children's Centre, through the Ontario Autism Program. JMCC also has a Ministry of Education funded Section 68 school (children with complex physical disabilities) on site. Depending on need, therapy services are offered in the Centre, in community schools, in our JMCC School, in the home, and in the community.
