Rise Against Hunger India is a hunger relief organization that provides food and life-changing aid to the world's most vulnerable; it engages multiple actors and mobilizes the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030.While communities work toward a future in which they can thrive, vulnerable families and individuals around the globe still have basic, immediate needs. That's why Rise Against Hunger India supports safety net programs that provide nourishment, as well as additional skills training or services that support the difficult journey out of poverty.Rise Against Hunger India meals are provided in schools to encourage increased enrollment and attendance. Meals distributed in hospitals and clinics may support patients' nutritional needs and complement their treatments. For community empowerment programs, Rise Against Hunger India focuses on skill enhancement, income generation and sustainable food security through community based projects on climate smart agriculture, land and soil management, food production, storage and marketing, introduction of new technologies for small farmers. OUR MEALSOne in three people worldwide are adversely affected by vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Rise Against Hunger India meals, packaged by volunteers, are designed to provide a comprehensive array of micro nutrients. Hygienically packaged, fortified nutritious meals of Rise Against Hunger India include enriched rice, dal (lentils), dried vegetables and 23 essential vitamins and nutrients.Rise Against Hunger India started its operation in 2015 and in 5 years, the organization has served 2.1 million lives through 16.4 million meals and other livelihood support. The mission to end hunger by 2030 is gradually becoming unattainable, as progress has been severely impacted by climate change issues, conflicts and massive displacement of population across the continents. COVID-19 pandemic has further aggravated the situation. This needs redoubling of efforts by everyone.
