Welcome to Cross Creek Internal Medicine We are a newly established practice, focused on the healthcare of our Upstate community. We provide comprehensive care for adults with chronic and acute conditions. Our physicians are on the faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and active in medical education. Doctors of internal medicine have had special study and training focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. At least three of their seven or more years of medical school and postgraduate training are dedicated to learning how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases that affect adults. Internists are sometimes referred to as the "doctor's doctor," because they are often called upon to act as consultants to other physicians to help solve puzzling diagnostic problems. Greenville Health System Our physicians are faculty members of Greenville Health System (GHS). Greenville Memorial Hospital is a regional referral center with Greenville's only Level 1 trauma center. GHS is a research institution with approximately 170 resident physicians and 600 ongoing research and clinical trials. GHS also offers Hillcrest Memorial Hospital in Simpsonville and other community hospitals located on Greenville's Eastside and in Greer and Travelers Rest.
