Each year, approximately 1 in 20 children in the Victoria experience the death of a parent. Currently, no other specialist service exists that offer professional support to these children. This is an extremely difficult time for them and their family, and this can potentially result in long-term emotional health problems. Our aim is to continue the development of a community based service which will provide the support that bereaved children, young people and their families need.
