It comes from Norway and consists of ropes, slings and bungee cords. Similar to floating in a pool, the Redcord suspension system creates a "zero-gravity" environment where people of all ages, all sizes, and all abilities can safely exercise with correct form and without interference of pain or compensation. It's like aquatic therapy on land, combined with a Pilates style of movement progressions.Redcord brings the "inner gymnast" out of you. Using bungee assistance, we teach you how to properly move, balance and stabilize your own bodyweight through specific joint motions, such as neck rotation or hip extension. Each exercise requires precise neuromuscular control across entire chains of muscles (myofascial chains). With practice and repetition, your whole body will feel more stable and become less susceptible to injury while participating in sports and everyday physical activities.Suspension exercises target the mind-muscle connection. When performed lightly in a gravity-free setting, they will gently turn on the body's joint stabilizers (pelvic floor, deep neck flexors, rotator cuff, hip rotators, etc.). These are your inner core muscles that support the joints to give you upright posture and functional mobility.Suspension based PT gets faster results than conventional PT. The difference is felt at a neuromuscular level. When your mind, muscles and joints are fully connected, the effects are unrivaled.
