Formed in 2011 by a group of female veterans, The Northeast Florida Women Veterans Association provides support to women who served on active duty, Reservists, and members of the National Guard.The ChallengeWomen are the fastest growing community of military veterans. As veterans, they are subject to the same challenges as their male counterparts. PTSD, MST, high divorce rate, health issues, and even homelessness. But women have challenges that men don't have.Here in Florida, we host the 3rd largest population of women veterans in the country, with Duval County as the largest in the state. Therefore it is on us to set the standard for providing care and resources to the women who have and continue to serve.
