The National Association of Primary Care (NAPC) is a leading membership organisation representing the interests of primary care professionals including general practitioners, nurses, practice staff, pharmacists, opticians and dentists. It's at the centre of shaping the future of healthcare, spreading innovation, influencing policy, supporting and connecting professionals across primary care – enabling them to provide world-class sustainable patient-centred healthcare. We're a not for profit membership organisation with no political affiliation. We give a local, regional and national voice to all professionals working within primary care. We also have commercial sector partners, where they have an interest in working with and advancing primary care. The NAPC seeks to unlock the full potential of primary and community care. Its role is to support its members to improve the quality of their services and patient experience throughout increased productivity, reduced unwarranted variation in clinical practice and provision of more care delivered closer to home.We are the NHS Confederation's primary care provider network and in this role, we can ensure the primary care voice is fully represented on issues affecting the whole NHS. Greater coordination and integration of primary and secondary care is key to meeting the changing needs of patients and improving how and where we deliver care to local populations. Working together with the NHS Confederation, we can help to further bridge the gap between these two parts of the service – supporting new ways of working and developing whole-system solutions to ensure a high quality, innovative and sustainable NHS for the future.
