Misión de Caridad was founded in 2019 in response to the crisis on the Mexico/U.S. border. The mission of MdC is to protect the lives and dignity of women and children stranded on the Mexico side of the U.S. border by providing shelter and humanitarian relief. Misión de Caridad has a vision to do something different. We want to have a lasting impact on their lives and give them the tools needed to live self-sufficiently. Our vision is to provide programs to enable women and children to live independently and be self-supporting in Mexico, either while their asylum cases are being determined or permanently if they are rejected.Our programs include: o Short term housing with training and goals to develop independenceo Job and life skills training and support so families can worko Wellness coaching and spiritual/emotional health supporto Educational opportunities for children and adults
