The GovCon Chamber of Commerce is mobilizing small businesses nationwide certified in the SBA's small business programs to to increase their success in the federal marketplace and to bring economic benefit to their communities. Each year, 3% ($13 billion annually) of the "small business eligible" federal budget (currently $450 billion) is designated for HUBZone-certified small businesses. Unfortunately, the 3% goal has never been achieved – in fact, the actual percentage steadily declined every year since 2009. By contrast, the SBA's three other small business programs have reached or exceeded their goals– 8(a), WOSB, and SDVOSB. The HUBZone Program offers additional impact because it engages entire communities, rather than individuals.KEY Member Benefits –Set Aside Calls Program: daily 30 minute member phone discussions on specific Sources Sought / RFIs to secure commitment from 4 or more companies to respond and to request HUBZone set-aside (SBSA) status. –Strategic Education for Members: Strategic courses, webinars and outreach to help all HUBZone-certified businesses become registered in DSBS and SAM to be readily visible to government market researchers. –Meet the Experts program: a free series of podcasts and video panels with agency leadership hosted by Neil McDonnell to gain agency-specific advice and insights specifically for HUBZone members –Events Calendar: the most comprehensive calendar of federal small business outreach events and Chamber daily Set-Aside Calls HUBZone Chamber of Commerce Membership is DUES-FREE
