A prestigious sports club of proud heritage, CS Dinamo has given the nation some of the finest champions in Romanian history. The President of CS Dinamo is Elisabeta Lipa, the most decorated rower in the history of the Olympics, winning five gold, two silver and one bronze medals. She holds the record amongst rowers for the most years between gold medals, at 20 years. In 2000, the International Federation of Rowing declared her "The Best Rower of the 20th Century".
