Only then can we apply our 45 years of combined expertise to help solve your greatest technology challenges.After years of working as an IT director for a nonprofit, Nutmeg cofounder and president Russ Cormier says, "I was amazed at how (many) technology dollars were under-utilized due to little or no planning on how to implement and use the technology."Russ knew he wanted to start a consulting firm that would facilitate that planning, as well as work more closely with vendors to ensure that clients needs were being served best. Today, he says about 70 percent of Nutmeg's work is expressly service oriented--not just selling a product, but sticking with the client every step of the way, from project analysis to orientation and management. Nutmeg's fellow cofounder and president, Chris Shipley, has been passionate about technology since he got his first computer, a Commodore VIC-20, at the tender age of eight. His other passion? Helping others. "I joined Nutmeg because I wanted to continue tapping into the drive I have to help people," he says. With today's new technologies, "we're able to do more and cut back on travel time, so we're expanding our infrastructure services as well."
