We don't like to over-complicate matters, which is good, because we don't need to. Cesium formate is unique. No other base fluid has such a mix of operation-enhancing qualities, which means additives are significantly reduced or cut altogether. It means that our fluids are truly multi-functional, providing operators with the flexibility to drill and complete in the same fluid. Cesium formate enables increased drilling, completion, and production performance through the simplest and most optimized approach to reservoir drill-in and completion operations. We own and operate the Tanco mine in Manitoba, Canada. Here we extract pollucite ore, the base for cesium formate fluids. The Tanco mine contains most of the known global reserves of pollucite, so we are assured of stock for decades to come. Furthermore, as part of Sinomine, we have access to additional reserves and mining expertise to complement our own resources. Cesium is a limited resource. To make this highly beneficial fluid available to the end users in a cost-effective way, the fluid is supplied according to a leasing model where Sinomine Specialty Fluids always retains ownership and stewardship of the fluid. This way, the losses are minimized and the global inventory is conserved. After use at the rig site, the fluid is recovered and passed through various chemical and physical treatments to remove contaminants and make it suitable for re-use.
