With personal connection living with this chronic illness and clinical expertise, SCS, LLC will help healthcare professionals and the public gain a better understanding of this chronic illness to ensure optimal, compassionate care for all.What We Do: Educate – SCS, LLC will educate healthcare professionals, students, and the public on sickle cell disease and the management of its medical complications. SCS, LLC offers custom-made presentations and workshops to provide comprehensive knowledge along with first-hand practitioner and patient perspectives on sickle cell, race, and advocacy. Serve – SCS, LLC will guide clinicians/healthcare providers on how to establish dedicated clinics for the care of individuals living with sickle cell disease; special focus will be given to the critical role of the nurse. Through consultation and mentoring, clinicians will be equipped to provide quality and individualized care. Testify – SCS, LLC will act as an Expert Nurse Witness and testify for medical malpractice lawsuits involving sickle cell disease. Services include but not limited to medical record/deposition reviews, and an analysis will be provided on whether healthcare professionals adhered to the standard of care.
