The idea for March Mullet was born in the city of Barrie, Ontario over what started as a casual conversation. It was inspired by the idea that like Mental Health, the Mullet too faces the stigma of being society's great outcast.Having come to this conclusion a vision was born to combat this stigma in a positive, progressive and meaningful capacity. Why not grow mullets (some pretty risky business) to raise awareness on the issues surrounding mental health? The birth of the "Mulleteers" soon followed. This dedicated team (the Mulleteers), in support of the cause proceeded to grow and register their mullets in anticipation of being sponsored by as many people as possible. Each Mulleteer is provided with a personal profile where their mullet progress is displayed and tracked, encouraging some friendly competition among the team!Every cent raised is donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association. In recent years great steps have been made to change the stigma surrounding mental health issues but we still have a long way to go.March Mullet is dedicated to making this world a better place, one mullet at a time.
