As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I offer counseling, consulting and education services in the area of Open Adoption. The path to creating your family through Open Adoption is one full of joy and challenges. It can be a very positive and enriching experience, yet the process itself can often be stressful and difficult to navigate. In adoption, each person comes with their own experiences, hopes and beliefs, fears and feelings, all of which may impact their adoption experience. I will help you gain insight and understanding as you move forward in becoming parents. My practice also includes an educational component to provide more clarity and understanding of each step of the process. Gaining information and knowledge regarding specific adoption issues such as openness in adoption, drug/alcohol issues, transracial adoptions, future contact and navigating the adoption process, will allow you to make decisions that you feel is best, as you create your family.
