The Masterstudio Design reflects the belief that urging challenges in rapidly transforming lifeworlds can no longer be adequately addressed by isolated disciplines. Embedded in an open space for experimentation, discourse and production, the Masterstudio Design fosters a consistently interdisciplinary approach. The program aggregates four emphasis studios: Industrial Design, Scenography, Fashion Design and Experimental Design – which cooperate in cross-disciplinary modules: Design Research, Design Culture, Design Process and workshops. The degree programme is aimed at interested and critical designers, architects, interior designers and other professionals with an affinity for design who want to develop their conceptual skills and their interdisciplinary powers of persuasion and who want to shape our world as creative professionals. The Master Studio Design program is a full-time program with a standard duration of three semesters. Courses are taught in German and English.
