NetwellCASALA is a leading research centre on technology to support ageing in place. We work with various older peoples groups and industry experts to understand how newly emerging technologies can enhance our ability to live at home for longer. We believe technology can help to shore up the home environment, strengthen the family and community support network around an older person and most importantly help to empower people to take more control of certain aspects of their lives as they get older.Over the past ten years we have been involved in some ground-breaking projects from the Atlantic Philanthropy funded Great Northern Haven smart home complex in Dundalk, Co. Louth to the massively innovative health-care Horizon 2020 ProACT project with Trinity College. Please go to www.netwellcasala.org for full details of all of our projects and research.
