The National Black Women's Society (NBWS Inc.), a 501(C) (3), membership based organization, was founded on March 5, 2005 in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Five dynamic women of color recognized the absence of a Boston- based organization that offered young professional women of color the necessary platform for leadership and support to realize their full potential. \\Today it has emerged as the only leading organization in Boston that targets emerging women of color who are looking to develop their personal, professional and civic lives. We have hosted over 100 events and programs and impacted the lives of over 500 women through the years. We continue to use our leadership, creativity and influence to shine a positive light on women of color in this region and beyond! As the National Black Women's Society (NBWS) we are committed to ensuring Black women are equally acknowledged and valued as leaders and have access to a network that positions them for success in the workplace and their communities.
