The German Liaison Office for Industry & Commerce (AHK - commonly known in Germany as 'Deutsches Wirtschaftsbuero Irak') in Baghdad and Erbil is the representative office of German industry in Iraq. It accomplishes the tasks of a German Chamber of Commerce & Industry Abroad (AHK). It was founded in 2010 and is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), together with the Association of German Chambers of Commerce & Industry (DIHK).The German Liaison Office for Industry & Commerce (AHK) is a not-for-profit organization that bridges between the two business communities. It supports the market entry of German SMEs in Iraq and vice versa.
