We are an independent charity registered with the Charities Commission in the UK. We are committed to supporting children in rural Africa and have been operating in the region since 2010. Our work is based on Zanzibar Island in Tanzania, Africa, from where we run our projects. We are an orphan-focused charity and have a dedicated team in Zanzibar, who ensure that the money we raise in donations is spent on children in accordance to their holistic needs. We also specialise in orphan education and have built madrasahs and sustainable Eco-friendly schools in various remote areas in Tanzania, where children were previously studying under make-shift shelters and trees. Through our projects, we have fundamentally transformed the educational environment and learning experience of children. Our latest featured project for 2013 is an orphan school build in the rural village of Bumbwini Bay in Zanzibar. It will support some 300 children. In addition, we are one of the few registered charities that run a 100% donation policy, which means all the money people donate is actually spent, without deduction, on the projects for which we run campaigns. We accept Zakah, Sadaka, and Fidya and apply these pursuant to Shariah rules. We have a dedicated team for our feed the poor programmes and have gained an established reputation in the region for our frequent food distribution campaigns.Registered Charity in England & Wales (1146862)
