Precision Motors Deutsche Minebea GmbH based in Villingen-Schwenningen is the largest motor development centre in the international network of the Japanese MinebeaMitsumi. Inc., Tokyo. PM DM develops electronically commutated BLDC motors, innovative drive systems as well as energy harvesting systems and is certified according to ISO/TS 16949:2009 and ISO 14001:2004. The product portfolio includes precision motors for the automotive sector and industrial use as well as spindle motors with integrated FDB technology. FDB stands for „fluid dynamic bearing", which by now is used in a wide range of branches. PM DM currently has more than 350 employees, who guarantee a continuous support during the respective development processes. These processes include the production of modern manufacturing and measurement equipment. A successful production launch is realised at the European manufacturing site or the Asian production facilities of MinebeaMitsumi. MinebeaMitsumi employs over 100,000 people worldwide and today is one of the leading manufacturers of mechanical, electromechanical and electronical components.
