Abu al-Rish Children's Hospital as it is the oldest and the best well-established children's hospital in the Middle East, which provides special nursing and medical services for the children. It is the first school for many Egyptian and foreign doctors and scientists in this specialization since 1928; also it is one of the sub-hospitals for Cairo University.Cairo University Children's Hospital (Japanese) was inaugurated in March 1983. It was built as a gift from the Japanese Government to the children of Egypt. Thus, Abu al-Rish Children's Hospital became supported with three hospitals (Al Munirah, The Japanese, the Preventive Medicine), as a belief in the social support role of the non-governmental organizations in the strengthening of the educational and medical services.
