Textown Group Limited (TGL) is an export-oriented and 100% vertically-integrated RMG industry. Having started operations with 250 members of staff in 1991, the company now comprises of 5000 members who forms the backbone of the company. TGL specialises in knit garment items and it's integrations include the following: Knitting, Dyeing, R&D Sample Department, In-House Laboratory, Printing, Embroidery and Washing. The company also manufactures Accessories and Trims for own use and supplies to local manufacturers.TGL highly values its partnership with buyers and feel a great sense of responsibility towards their members of staff, end customers and towards the environment which reflects in their involvement and achievement of several critical certifications such as ACCORD, Amfori BSCI, BetterWork, Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Higg Index, OEKO-TEX (Standard 100, STeP), Bangladesh Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT), Water Saving Technology (WST), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Organic Content Standard (OCS), Organic 100 Content Standard, OHSAS. Certifications that are in the process of being acquired include Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP).With expansion and additional backward-linkage plans in the pipeline, TGL aims to become more competitive in the market to sustain the greater challenges that the industry is facing. Some of the concerns the company aims to address during these changes include reverse-osmosis technology for the existing in-house ETP, expanding capacity, increasing efficiency and productivity by leveraging automation.
