The architectural office oiio is a New York and Athens based group of architects, urbanists and researchers practicing on the study and realization of built as well as un-built environment. The scope of work concerns the adjustment of all stages of the creative process to a compositional philosophy which is based on the holistic treatment of all architectural issues focusing on the capabilities of contemporary architecture and their integration in the natural environment. All projects which are undertaken by the group are carried out consistently to these principles, while, at the same time its general aim concerns the demystification of the rivalry between natural and built environment. Through the mixture of local and international materials in an ordinance which does not limit itself to any kind of imitation, the group aims to the production of an architectural form which is successfully incorporated to the physical landscape without losing the advantages of contemporary architecture.
