Human Resources at USAD (United Students for Automated legal services Development) - N/A, ENG, UK
In the technology-driven world we live in, law firms around the world are implementing AI Solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of their services. Law Schools are beginning to form new modules that educate students about the significant impact of legal technology, and more students are becoming aware of how important it is for the new generation of legal service providers to be "tech-friendly."In September 2018, Hogan Lee and Derek Mountford - our founding fathers - crossed paths in front of the reception desk in the University of Liverpool Law and Social Justice department. They decided to build their commercial awareness skills together throughout the duration of their academic years. During that process, Hogan discovered his fascination in AI Solutions which motivated him to work for the Liverpool Law Clinic, where he assisted the assessment phase for the MENCAP UK Social Care Chatbot. Inspired by this experience, he took the Cognitive Class "How to Build Chatbots" course and went on to complete it with 100% marks on all modules. After being certified, he shared his intiatives with Derek to start a UK-wide legal tech project using IBM Watson. They founded our Union in August 2019, and we have been striving to develop IBM Watson virtual assistants ever since. If you are also fascinated about AI Solutions, join the movement. The doors at USAD are always open to students who are interested in gaining practical experience with legal technology. We aim to develop small services that can advise people in need. Members of our Union are 100% student volunteers. We work hard, but do not ask for anything in return. Welcome to the best legal tech experience available for UK university students and all aspiring lawyers.
