These systems are specifically designed for the examination of circumferential butt welds in tubular constructions such as oil and gas transmission pipelines. They are unique within the marketplace as they offer the ability to interface with a wide variety of X-Ray tubes. Supported X-Ray tubes include ICM, Comet/Yxlon, GE, Balteau, and JME's own CXT Tube. Our crawlers offer outstanding reliability, being manufactured to exceptionally high standards using military grade components.JME's portable X-Ray Betatrons are designed to produce high energy ionising radiation for non-destructive testing. The JME X-ray Betatrons are far less costly than other accelerators such as "Linacs", and all models are capable of producing radiographs of very high contrast and sensitivity. The systems contain no moving parts (except cooling fans) and no circulating liquids. Radiation levels outside the main beam are low, so safe working distances are moderate. These systems are available in 3 output levels: 2.5, 6, 7, 7.5 and 9 MeV. Each system within the range features a variable energy output allowing the end user to undertake a wide range of inspection tasks with a single unit. We provide backup and support for all of our products, with a maintenance and spares service that is second to none.
