International Professional Partnerships for Sierra Leone (IPPSL), Inc. is a small international development citizen sector agency managed entirely by volunteers, whose principal ambition is to establish an enduring program of professional exchange & assistance that will directly serve capacity-building & public policy development needs of the Sierra Leone state. The mission of IPPSL, Inc. is to support the progress of Sierra Leone's public sector development through technical assistance, fellowships with government agencies, and other international professional partnerships. Designed at the request of and in extensive consultation with the government of Sierra Leone (GoSL), IPPSL, Inc. identifies, recruits & delivers talented, cross-culturally experienced young professionals to work in ministries, departments & agencies (MDAs) at no cost to the Sierra Leone government. The aim of the Partnerships is to supplement MDA staff with skilled individuals who can help put the policies envisioned by Sierra Leone officials into place. IPPSL, Inc. will contribute to this moment of possibility by partnering with the Sierra Leone government to promote skill diffusion over the long term, and in the short term, cross-culturally experienced professionals of personal integrity and professional talent will serve to strengthen public agencies & help enact Sierra Leone's goals of public sector reform. IPPSL, Inc. aims to benefit Sierra Leone and its fellows alike. Sierra Leone will gain from our fellows' hard work and technical proficiency, including skill and knowledge transfer. Fellows, in turn, will learn and benefit from their Sierra Leonean hosts, and receive valuable training in technical assistance, government and development work. These initial partnerships will lay the groundwork for deeper, broader and long-lasting relationships, bridging global North & South in common purpose.
