CrossFit Cordis is a 6,000 sq ft fully loaded, state-of-the-art CrossFit facility located in Oakville, Ontario.Cordis is the Latin term for "Heart" or more specifically translates to "…from the Heart". The Heart is the symbol that refers to the spiritual, moral, emotional, intellectual and physical CORE of a human being – it may well be the location of the soul. At its most basic, the Heart is the engine of the body. It is the vital organ that keeps us alive and functioning. The bigger the Heart, the stronger, the fitter, the more alive you are, the more you can do, the more functional you are or can be…this is true in life, as well as in fitness.In taking on a name like CrossFit Cordis, we combine the engine (heart) with the tool or process (CrossFit) that has the potential to produce continual improvement on every level of what it means to be human – physical, spiritual, intellectual – it is a holistic approach. That is our goal, to have a lasting impact on the lives of every single person we train. We want to build a community of like minded individuals who are dedicated to bettering themselves and each other through forging a broad base of fitness, through building their Hearts.
