Mindfulness Workshops offer a range of self-development classes. Some are offered as a course, and others as single sessions. The content of these workshops goes beyond the traditional mindfulness practice, combining elements of coaching, relaxation techniques, visualization, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and hypnotherapy, as well as drawing on insights from science and psychology.CONTENT OF THE MINDFULNESS WORKSHOPSEach class has several components:1. LectureA short, 15 to 20 minute- lecture presenting the class topic from a theoretical perspective. This will help you to understand the ‘what' and ‘why' behind the subject. For instance, if the focus of the class is on stress, the lecture will help you understand what stress is. It will also present psychological and scientific theories explaining why people experience stress.2. Guided RelaxationThis hands-on component covers the practical or ‘how to' aspect of the topic. For instance, if the focus of the class is on stress, this part of the session may involve a relaxation exercise, showing participants how to better manage their emotional state.3. Self-Help TechniquesParticipants are also advised on a variety of self-improvement tools that they can use outside the sessions. This ensures long-term benefits from the mindfulness workshops, with participants being offered a self-help toolkit that they can use for life.
