Modern Bazaar was established in 1971 by the Late Shri Vishwant Kumar, and was set up as India's First Supermarket selling imported food products from Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. Over the last 5 decades Modern Bazaar has created itself a name for itself as the One Stop Shop for both essentials as well as exclusive grocery and food products in Delhi and NCR. After having taken over from his father Kunaal Kumar has taken the brand to new heights and is able to hold its own against large corporate names. From a single outlet in 2005 it has now grown to 14 large format stores in Delhi, Gurgaon & Noida plus a robust On-line platform. Modern Bazaar is now the preferred choice of store for a very large number of loyal customers, a community that is growing by the day.
