It also aims to contribute to the improvement of public awareness of health, illness, and the efficacy and safety of the available curative and preventive treatments, so that they can become involved in the clinical decisions that affect \them. \Forumclinic is led and prepared by professionals from the hospital and primary care centresthe Hospital Clinic, Barcelona, one of the leading clinical and biomedical research centres in our country. The project is funded and supported by the BBVA Foundation, an institution whose operations in the field of biomedicine are focused on the promotion of applied research in healthcare and the improvement in the quality of life of the general population. The absence of specific interests on the part of the BBVA Foundation regarding matters of health guarantees neutrality in the contents of the website. The website publishes basic information about various aspects of bulletins about scientific advances that could result in an improvement in the clinical care of patients in the near future. Every one of these chronic conditions developed on the website has also been transferred to DVD format.
