Harvest Hands CDC is a nonprofit Christian Community Development ministry in South Nashville. We are committed to being good neighbors. We are also committed to the empowerment of children, youth and families so that they might become all that God has created them to be. We are on a journey together for wholeness in South Nashville. We are committed to revitalization in our community. Harvest Hands seeks to provide leadership development along with economic development in the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood as well as surrounding South Nashville neighborhoods such as Vine Hill and Chestnut Hill. Our focus is to facilitate mentoring, leadership development and healthy recreational opportunities for the children and youth in our neighborhood. Drugs, prostitution and gang activity are an every day reality in our neighborhood and we seek to be a beacon of hope and opportunity for the youth of South Nashville. Along with leadership development, we seek to work with our neighbors and the Nashville community in laying the foundation for housing and economic revitalization in our neighborhood. Harvest Hands seeks to provide affordable housing, job training and economic opportunities for our neighbors. This includes addressing and converting problem properties in the neighborhood into quality affordable homes and neighborhood assets.
