Dye design golf course with gently rolling fairways leading to lightning fast bent grass greens, a superb test for the better golfer, yet forgiving enough for the higher handicapper, a taste of true southern hospitality, where everyone who walks through the door is treated as a member. The most unique aspect of this course, and most others designed by Pete Dye, is Pete's design philosophy, which dictates designing, in each 18, as many unique or "memorable" holes as possible. Windermere has 13 truly "memorable" holes; most good golf courses have 2-5 such holes and no two holes of the Windermere course are remotely alike. This creates 18 totally different golfing experiences in one golf course.
