Tannin Corporation was first established in 1944, to manufacture and distribute leather chemicals to the large concentration of tanners in the New England area of the United States. The current ownership was established in 1979 with its headquarters in Peabody, Massachusetts, USA, 18 miles North of Boston.The company has grown to become the largest wet-end chemical supplier in North America, serving the US and Canada, and establishing a subsidiary company in Mexico, Tannin Mexico S.A. de C.V.The company's expansion has recently included the acquisition of Marden-Wild of Canada along with its state of art manufacturing facility, as well as production of a select group of products in Asia.
