MindSpot translates world-class research into treatments and services that have helped more than 100,000 people manage their emotional wellbeing. MindSpot is part of MQ Health, Macquarie University's clinical enterprise. We believe every person who is troubled by anxiety and depression should have access to mental health services that give them the best chance of recovery.MindSpot's research-to-practice pipeline allows us to create, evaluate, implement and refine technologically-enhanced treatments and models of service delivery that address gaps in psychological care. The pipeline begins at Macquarie University's eCentreClinic where researchers develop treatment courses that are safe, effective and grounded by a solid evidence base of peer-reviewed publications. The treatment courses are made freely available to Australian adults through our two therapist-guided clinics – MindSpot and the Practitioner Online Referral Treatment Service (PORTS). Our treatment courses consistently produce encouraging results. Most participants experience an average 50% reduction in the severity of their symptoms of anxiety and low mood. Ninety-five percent of people report that they would refer MindSpot courses to a friend. Our courses are recognised worldwide as best practice and have been adopted and shown to work in several other countries, including Canada and Ireland.
