Essential Education develops innovative learning technology. Our niche is adult education, the 40+ million who do not have a basic education or high school diploma. Our eLearning solutions use a unique combination of adaptive learning technology and video-based instruction to produce dramatically better learning outcomes. Our company is young, creative, energetic, and committed to changing the way adults are being educated. Our educational products enjoy very strong market acceptance and we have grown consistently over our 15 years of being in business. We currently serve 450,000 students worldwide. We see two frontiers in education: The first is efficacy. It is clear that there is a great deal of room for improving the way people learn, both in educational settings, but also on their own. Our computer-based instruction is forging new ground in this area. In the context of basic skills instruction (math, science, communication, social studies), we teach adult learners how to reason better, make more informed decisions, and find pathways to success in their lives. We do this by applying cutting-edge technology tools and cognitive research to the task of learning. The second frontier in education is how education is delivered and accessed by the learner. Most computer-based instruction is just an extension of the lecture and textbook model of teaching.
