Universal Studies started out with the belief that experiencing a new culture can be more than simply traveling to new places and tasting new foods. It started out with the nothing less than life-changing time Patrick and Tim got to spend together during their exchange year. One of the most important times of your life, a Universal Studies Cultural Exchange Program, is organized and planned by specialists who do not only work in the area they are sending students to, but have lived in different parts California for decades, knowing the land, the people, the culture, the places to go and see and have formed personal relationships with all their providers (accommodation, education, activities etc.). We also do quality-checks of all our destinations and accommodations prior to you coming to us.The often unknown attribute of traveling is the raw exposure to a completely new environment, an environment that stretches from the different foods, to the way people interact, to the day-to-day duties, all the way down to the most simple things, such as bedtime or restaurant etiquette. The only true way to fully integrate into a new culture and thus become a more confident and worldly person includes adapting to all these social "rules", which, needless to say, can be rather difficult and even overwhelming at times. This is where we come in. Through our guidance and constant support we make sure that you easily and quickly adapt to and feel comfortable in the new culture so you can make the best out of your time abroad and come back a changed person in every sense of the word. Our wish continues to be to pay forward to all the world the amazing lessons we learned in our time together which is to stay open-minded about new things in all cultural situations, to communicate with each other always, whether we are on an excursion, experiencing something new or just spending an afternoon watching movies, and to always share our world with and support each other as we grow.
