Reson18 is a targeted mobile customer acquisition & fintech platform for emerging markets that enables static and video advertisements to appear on mobile devices in return for a tangible benefit to the consumer, most notably free data. In Africa more than one billion people have no or very expensive access to data which makes free data a very attractive benefit. Emerging markets, and in particular Africa, is in an exponential technological revolution fueled by a huge generational shift. With a population of more than 1.3 billion people a young middle class is emerging with an average age of just 19.7 (worldwide median age is 30.4). This mobile-first generation will adopt technology in all spheres of their lives on their mobile devices, as has happened in other markets like China and India.The initial phase is focused on mobile consumer acquisition and advertising revenue. Advertising revenue is generated by consumers viewing targeted advertising after a call or when the phone is dimmed, and in return the consumer is gifted data monthly. Mobile advertising spend is expected to reach $408bn by 2026 with a double-digit compound annual growth rate (CAGR).This platform is POPI and GDPR compliant and additional consumer information (race, income, age etc.) is collected every month when data is gifted. This consumer information drives the targeting advertising which in return achieves high acquisition rates and advertising revenues because of its proven high click-through rates of up to 18% achieved, multiple times better than the click-through rate of big tech competitors.The second phase in the revenue model will focus on fintech, payments & transactional revenues that leverages our affinity marketplace of consumers and also linking them to suppliers (potentially other investments) like fintech/banks/Insuritech/etc.
