In early 2020, as COVID hit the US and the world, NBGS and it's team of researchers/scientists, specification developers, and medical device experts realized that the fight in combating the spread of the virus didn't necessarily involve just personal protective equipment. Yes, PPE would be a large part, but it had to include mass ongoing multiple field testing for the virus. In January 2021 NBGS acquired ACS, Advanced Clinical Solution, a CLIA certified high complexity laboratory to expand its research and development into the Sars-CoV-2 virus with the key goal of creating easy to use and affordable point of care invitro diagnostic lateral flow tests.
