The Osito Foundation's Mission is to Promote: HIV Awareness, Prevention & Education, Teddy Bears for Children Impacted by HIV, Scholarship Program. Teddy Bears have a profound positive effect on the emotions of both children and adults, Osito (the Spanish word for "Little Bear") we all have an innate attraction to them. When someone receives a Teddy Bear they feel less depressed, anxious and agitated and demonstrate a higher sense of enjoyment and life satisfaction. What Osito's Done • Given over 8,000 Teddy Bears in six states • Hosted the first Children's AIDS Day • Two Proclamations from Mayor Annise Parker of Houston "Proclaiming February 12, 2010 & 2011 Children's AIDS Day" • Received two "Letters of Support" From Gov.
