The IEU believes in members uniting for better schools, better jobs and for a better society. The Independent Education Union South Australian branch represents members in SA's non-government schools (Catholic, Lutheran & Independent) as well as Early Learning Centres and private training providers. IEU(SA) is the state branch of the federal Independent Education Union of Australia, which represents 75,000 members Australia-wide.Members of the Independent Education Union can receive advice on all work-related and professional matters, and support and representation as appropriate with wage and conditions negotiations, WorkCover claims, OHSW and individual industrial matters. The IEU has affiliations to other trade union organisations and has established links with community organisations in solidarity to improve national workplace rights.
