The firm currently has more than 250 lawyers (incl. 90 partners). \\Hengeler Mueller originates from a merger in 1990 between the Düsseldorf law firm Hengeler Kurth Wirtz and the Frankfurt law firm Mueller Weitzel Weisner. The Frankfurt firm was established as early as 1947 and the Düsseldorf office has even provided legal advice for more than 100 years.\\The Berlin office was opened by the newly created law firm Hengeler Mueller in 1990, followed by offices in Brussels, London, Munich and, in 2014, in Shanghai.
