Founded in 2018 as Light of Africa at Jasper High School in Plano, Texas, our non-profit organization has since then rebranded as Light of the World and reached over eighty members across various chapters. Light of the World's initiative is carried out through service projects with Feed My Starving Children, Samaritan's Purse, Develop Africa, and the Dallas Homeless Recovery Center. Light of the World embodies the future of both our global society and local community through actionable steps towards change. We strive to raise money to provide solar lanterns for children around the world who are currently using harmful kerosene lanterns & to make an impact in the world through community service.
