Mission: Pop Culture Classroom inspires a love of learning, increases literacy, celebrates diversity and builds community through the tools of popular culture and the power of self-expression.------------------------------------The driving power behind Pop Culture Classroom stems from our personal experiences of the positive influence of comics and other pop culture media in our own lives. We envision individuals transformed by the educational power of popular culture who create diverse, inclusive and engaged communities.Our "Classroom" program delivers tools (curriculum) and training using comic books, graphic novels and related pop culture media to create educational engagement with students, and gives them the creative and critical thinking skills that put them on the path to lifelong learning.Denver Pop Culture Con, another program of Pop Culture Classroom, is a 3-day, family-friendly fan extravaganza, featuring the best in pop culture entertainment. The proceeds from this annual, education-centered, family-friendly event benefits Pop Culture Classroom's overall educational endeavors.Our second event, Reno Pop Culture Con, debuts in November 2019.
