We are The Johnsons, a family of four! I am Sierra, wife, wildcrafter, and homeschool mom! You can usually find the kids outside on any given day, from playing in the creek and foraging to chasing ducks and goats, these kids live for the outdoors. My husband Hobie (the man behind all the projects) spends any free time he has building our homestead, filling the woodshed, hunting, and fishing. I wanted a space to raise our kids in nature, less blacktop and more connection, somewhere we could spend our days growing things and taking adventures. Hobie wanted somewhere he could teach our kids to shoot, hunt, fish, and love the sportsman paradise we call home. We both wanted more out of life. We wanted to be self-sufficient and pass the knowledge along to our kids. In 2019 we moved back to my home place, where neighbors are scarce but always willing to lend a hand. Where the roads wind for miles, are red dirt, and full of pot holes. A place surrounded by forests, creeks, and wildlife. Since the big move we have slowly been moving in the direction we want to take our life. I have always loved gardening and wild-crafting and am so glad we are moving towards homesteading. There is still so much to accomplish (and honestly always will be), but we welcome you to follow our journey and see all the new adventures we are embarking on! Right now we have apothecary items for sell and skull mounting services but as we grow we will have so much more to offer. Poppy's place was always suppose to be where the kid's Poppy (their grandpa) moved to next to us. Living out here was a dream we all shared. Since he is no longer with us, we planned to put a giant garden there in his memory. Instead we have decided to put something there he would have loved to have been a part of even more (stay tuned to find out what that will be).
