Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform [KAMP] is inspired by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi's vision of a new India and Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) of Scientific Community and Institutions."KAMP" is one of the major initiatives taken up by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (CSIR-NISTADS), one of the constituent laboratory of CSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.Prof. K Vijay Raghawan (Principle Scientific Advisor, Govt. of India) and Dr. Shakher C. Mande (Director General, CSIR) have launched KAMP on 3rd April 2019 at New Delhi. The Vision of KAMP:"To identify and capture scientific and technological temperament in students to make India a global leader in the field of science and technology."KAMP has been initiated to identify and promote gifted and talented students of class 5th to 12th in the field of Science, Technology and Humanities across India. Based on the algorithm and design development on CSIR-NISTADS, KAMP would support in identifying the talent at primitive stage and nurturing them in their areas of strength. The outcome of the KAMP will provide a comprehensive assessment not only to the young students but also to schools, teachers and parents. It would be implemented at national level in all schools under CBSE, ICSE and other State boards to inculcate scientific temperament, aptitude and the Sprit of Innovation leading to global leadership.
