At KGMU, we believe in excellence.Since our establishment in 1905 in British India, we have been a powerhouse of medical excellence in South Asia. With a long and cherished history of graduate and postgraduate clinical training, we represent that tier of finest medical education that India has to offer. Located in Lucknow, the heart of the province of Uttar Pradesh, we have 4 faculties under our umbrella university: the Faculty of Medical Sciences (serving as the medical school and institute for graduate medical education), the Faculty of Dental Sciences, the Institute of Nursing and the Institute of Paramedical Sciences. The university currently has the largest residential hospital of South Asia, with over 4500 beds and a dedicated trauma centre. We prepare 250 medical students and over 500 residents and fellows every year, for the medical systems of both the present and the future.We are proud of our graduates, who have contributed to the medical systems of countries across the world.
