The seeds for Booch Kombucha were planted in the UK well over a decade ago. Booch founder and brewmaster Jo Hopkins worked as a chef in the UK health industry for over 15 years and along the way he began tinkering with kombucha and other ferments. In 2014 he co-launched one of Europe's first commercial kombucha breweries and had the opportunity to witness the early growth of this pioneering kombucha scene. In search of a warmer climate Jo relocated to Goa in 2018 and with the knowledge, skill and passion developed over the years, coupled with the abundance of stunning native teas available, it made perfect sense to launch premium kombucha for the thirsty Indian market. Fast forward to 2021. After extensive research and product development, which has entailed sampling in excess of 500 tea varieties from around the country, we have settled on four unique and varied pure tea kombuchas. Our resulting brews are profoundly simple, yet refined and complex and what more fitting than to aptly name our family of fine brews after precious treasures.
